I couldn't resist the urge to post this one before I've finished listening to the album.

This is what would happen if Mark Lanegan was singing trip-hop gospel. Oh, wait. Mark Lanegan IS singing trip-hop gospel.

Soulsavers: "Paper Money"

If anyone wants to hear any more of this, let me know. As I said, I haven't listened to it all yet.

Last night, someone (who shall remain nameless unless she decides to comment) told me that they had purchased a shirt that reminded them of me. This t-shirt had the slogan
"I listen to music you've never heard of".

Well, I think everything I've put on this blog has been pretty mainstream thus far so today, I bring you what I hope is an exclusive.

I picked up a CD in Olympia yesterday that was obviously homemade (as in recorded on a blank CD that no one ever wrote on) but yet had some pretty good stuff on it.

From that CD, we have Sugar in the Gourd, a rather sweet sounding couple of girls that I know absolutely nothing about.

Sugar in the Gourd- "In My Time of Dying"

Sugar on the Gourd- "Behind the Wall" (Tracy Chapman cover)

Sugar in the Gourd-"A Swallow Song"
